I am soooo ready for this week to end.

I don't know what is wrong with me this week. I start every morning fresh and in control. Get on the treadmill before work, have a healthy breakfast, hit the road. Good day during the day, healthy snacks and lunch. A-Ok. Then I get home. THUD. For some reason, I want to inhale anything and everything. It is not that I am physically hungry. I am mind-hungry.I just want to eat foods that I know are not good for me.

One day this week I stopped at McDonalds for my son. I have cut my son's visits to McDonalds down to once a week, total, if at all. Eventually I would like to make it once every two weeks, then once a month, etc. I am slowly weaning him off. :) Anyway, when I go, I usually get nothing or a salad. This week, I actually ordered a small hamburger. And ate a few of his fries. And then they had accidently put an extra 4 nuggets in his happy meal. I ate those. I don't know what is possessing me! I haven't eaten that junk in a very, very long time.

After I get home, I had the mind-set of "oh, I have eaten things I shouldn't have....I might as well have some chocolate too, since I'm already off for the day." So lame, but it worked for me! :) Chocolate was followed by Cheetos, and then a poptart. "A poptart!" you shriek in horror. Yes, total non-nutritive junk. Sadly, I can feel that I am way up on the scale. I hate to weigh in tomorrow. Really, really dread it. I know I have not eaten more than 7000 extra calories this week, so I should have only gained max of 2 lbs, based on pure mathematics of calories in and calories out. But knowing my body, I gained 10. So sorry A Team. I will get it together as soon as I can. Hopefully from this point on. That is my plan.

  1. Well we all cheat every once in a while, the main important thing is that you are more focused and striving towards a better healthy you. I also cheated this week when hubby sent me to burger king. Maybe you should just do extra time on the tread mill tonight to burn the calories off. its ok, you probably didn't gain because your metabolism is much faster and it burned that stuff like rocket fuel:) Ur doing a great job!

  2. ooooh Sue...I have so been at that very same place. You come home after work, having been good all day long. You are proud of yourself for being good, yet at the same time you realize you are ravenous for some sort of crap you KNOW you should not have. I usually start with yogurt covered pretzels, and then progress into reese's PB cups, chips, ice cream. Then you think, well hell I've already screwed up today, might as well make it a good one! Let's order a pizza! Yeah I hate that place. I feel your pain my friend. I don't know about you, but since I have started eating better, I feel physically terrible after gorging myself on junk like that. Hopefully I will remember that feeling for the next time. But if not, it's okay... we are only human. We fall off the wagon. It will be okay :)

    Better luck tomorrow!

  3. Yup, you know I'm feelin ya! But, we are regrouping this week and the A-Team is gonna bounce back, right?? RIGHT!!!!

Let's not worry about the scale this week; as long as we get back on track that's all that matters!

  4. I have totally been where you are, and I get it, but you have to get that food out of your house! Poptarts & doritos? Your boy doesn't need those! (Hey that rhymes!)

Here's hoping for a better week next week (for all of us!).

Valentine's Day is a hard one for me, because there is so much chocolate around everywhere I turn!
